The SIP amount is calculated based on three factors: the Goal Amount you wish to achieve, the Time period during which you wish to achieve the goal and assumed rate of return. The rate of return is a factor of the risk profile you select (Safe, Moderate or Aggressive). And this rate is arrived at with the help of it's algorithm which is extremely dynamic and changes as per the time horizon and risk profile.
